Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive Siem Reap Angkor International Airport

  • Arrival at Siem Reap Angkor International Airport
  • Meet and greeted by our English-speaking tour guide and transfer to the hotel in Siem Reap
  • Free time for leisure, enjoy the nightlife at Pub Street is the hub of activity when night falls in Siem Reap

Day 2

Siem Reap – Angkor Wat – Small Circuit

  • Enjoy breakfast at the hotel
  • Go to visit the South Gate of Angkor Thom, or Tonle Om Gate, one of the five ancient gates and a very famous spot within Angkor Archaeological Park. Angkor Thom, the last capital of the Khmer Empire, was a fortified city built by King Jayavarman VII in the late 12th century.
  • Visit Bayon temple, a richly decorated Khmer temple related to Buddhism, built in the late 12th or early 13th century as a state temple of King Jayavarman VII.
  • The northwest of Bayon is called Baphuon, a Hindu temple built before Angkor Wat in the mid-11th century.
  • Visit Phimeanakas, a pyramid Hindu temple built at the end of the 10th century located inside the enclosure of the Royal Palace of Angkor Thom.
  • Visit the Terrace of the Elephants, part of the walled city of Angkor Thom, used by King Jayavarman VII as a platform to view his victorious returning army. Then visit the Terrace of the Leper King, just north of the Terrace of the Elephants, built in the Bayon style under Jayavarman VII.
  • Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant
  • Continue to visit the magnificent Angkor Wat temple, the largest religious monument in the world, built in the early 12th century by King Suryavarman II as a Hindu temple dedicated to the god Vishnu, gradually transformed into a Buddhist temple.
  • Visit the fabulous Ta Prohm temple, embraced by the roots of enormous fig trees, famous for being the filming location of Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, played by Angelina Jolie.
  • Afterward, continue to Phnom Bakheng, climb up the hill to wait for a stunning sunset view. Phnom Bakheng is the most popular tourist spot for sunset views of Angkor Wat, located about 1.5km southeast amidst the jungle.
  • Enjoy dinner and then transfer back to the hotel

    Note: Due to the limited number of tourists allowed at Phnom Bakheng during peak times, we require you to start climbing a bit earlier. Please be prepared for a longer wait to watch the sunset, which can take around 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours.

    Optional-(Exclude):
    • Shadow Puppet Performance: Experience the magic of Khmer storytelling through shadow puppetry using light and leather. It is an ancient art in Cambodia. After the show, you can try your hand at traditional string puppets. Showtime is at 7:00pm.

Day 3

Angkor Wat Sunrise – Big Circuit

  • Starting the tour early, our guide will pick you up at 4:30am at the lobby of your accommodation to watch the sunrise at Angkor Wat. After sunrise, return to the hotel for breakfast before resuming the tour.
  • Visit Banteay Srei temple (Lady Temple), a 10th century temple dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. Constructed from pink sandstone, it is one of the most popular temples about 25km from the main Angkor complex.
  • Continue to visit Banteay Samre temple, built during the reigns of Suryavarman II and Yasovarman II in the early 12th century; it is a Hindu temple in the Angkor Wat style.
  • Have a short visit at Preah Dak village, a hidden gem offering an authentic experience showcasing the beauty of Khmer culture.
  • Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant
  • Visit Preah Khan temple, built by King Jayavarman VII to honor his father.
  • Continue to visit Neak Pean, a small island temple located in the middle of the West Baray, associated with Preah Khan temple, built during the reign of King Jayavarman VII.
  • Visit Ta Som temple, one of the smaller temples in Siem Reap, expertly restored and popular among tourists.
  • Visit East Mebon temple, a large temple mountain-like ruin rising three levels and crowned by five towers. Built during the reign of King Rajendravarman in the 10th century, dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva and honoring the king's parents.
  • Visit Pre Rup temple, built in the late 10th century and dedicated to Hindu gods. Pre Rup means "turn the body," reflecting the belief that funerals were conducted here.
  • Enjoy dinner and then transfer to the hotel
  • Enjoy the nightlife of Siem Reap

    • Phare Circus: Visit Phare Circus, more than just a circus, featuring theater, music, dance, and modern circus arts telling uniquely Cambodian stories. Showtime is at 8:00pm.

Day 4

Kampong Phluk – Beng Mealea

  • Enjoy breakfast at the hotel
  • Start to visit Kampong Phluk, a floating village and flooded mangrove forest on Tonle Sap Lake. Many houses are built on stilts ranging from 6m to 9m to accommodate seasonal water level changes. Our boat will move slowly through forest canals, allowing glimpses of flora and fauna and a beautiful ecosystem.
  • Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant
  • In the afternoon, visit Beng Mealea, an impressive temple about 68km northeast of Siem Reap. Once consumed by jungle, some foliage has been cleared recently. Known as the “jungle temple,” it was built with the same floorplan as Angkor Wat in the 12th century under King Suryavarman II.
  • After Beng Mealea, return to Siem Reap
  • If time permits, visit Artisans Angkor, famous for traditional craft products such as stone and wood carving, lacquering, gilding, and traditional silk processing.

    Optional-(Exclude):
    • Ox Cart: Experience a 30-minute Ox Cart ride at Bakong village to observe local daily activities, rice paddies, and seasonal farming methods. The Ox Cart is an important traditional Khmer transport mode.
    • Cambodian Cooking Class: A 3-hour class learning Khmer cuisine from a local chef. Includes a visit to a local market to buy ingredients. Discover local living traditions.

Day 5

Hotel – Airport

  • Enjoy breakfast at the hotel
  • Transfer to Siem Reap International Airport and wait for your flight back home
