Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive Siem Reap

  • Arrival at Siem Reap Angkor International Airport
  • Meet and greeted by our English-speaking tour guide and transfer to the hotel in Siem Rep
  • Free time for leisure, enjoy the nightlife at Pub Street is the hub of activity when night falls in Siem Reap

Day 2

Angkor Wat – Small Circuit

  • Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.
  • Go to visit the South Gate of Angkor Thom, or Tonle Om Gate is one of the five ancient gates and is a very famous spot within Angkor Archaeological Park. Angkor Thom is the last capital of the Khmer Empire, a fortified city built by King Jayavarman VII in the late 12th century. Next, visit Bayon Temple, a richly decorated Khmer temple related to Buddhism, built in the late 12th or early 13th century as a state temple of King Jayavarman VII.
  • The northwest of Bayon is called Baphuon, a Hindu temple built before Angkor Wat in the mid-11th century.
  • Visit Phimeanakas, a Pyramid Hindu temple built at the end of the 10th century and located inside the enclosure of the Royal Palace of Angkor Thom.
  • Visit the Terrace of the Elephants, a part of the walled city of Angkor Thom. It was used by King Jayavarman VII as a platform to view his victorious returning army. Then visit the Terrace of the Leper King, just north of the Terrace of the Elephants, built in Bayon style under Jayavarman VII.
  • Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant
  • Continue to visit the magnificent Angkor Wat, a temple complex in Cambodia and the largest religious monument in the world, built in the early 12th century by King Suryavarman II as a Hindu temple dedicated to the god Vishnu. It gradually transformed into a Buddhist temple.
  • Visit the fabulous Ta Prohm, embraced by the roots of enormous fig trees. It is famous for being the location in the film *Lara Croft: Tomb Raider*, played by Angelina Jolie.
  • Afterward continue to Phnom Bakheng, climb up the hill to wait for a stunning sunset view. Phnom Bakheng is the most popular tourist spot for sunset views of Angkor Wat, which lies amidst the jungle about 1.5km to the southeast.
  • Enjoy dinner and then transfer back to the hotel

  • Note: Due to the limited number of tourists allowed at Phnom Bakheng during peak times, we require you to start climbing a bit earlier. Please be prepared for a longer wait to watch the sunset, which can take around 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours.

    • Phare Circus: Visit Phare Circus – it is more than just a circus, the Cambodian performers use theater, music, dance and modern circus arts to tell uniquely Cambodian stories, historical, folk and modern. Showtime is at 8:00pm
    • Shadow Puppet Performance: Experience the magic of Khmer storytelling through shadow puppetry using light and leather. It is an ancient art in Cambodia. After the show you can try and play with traditional string puppets. Showtime is at 7:00pm

Day 3

Siem ReapSilk FarmPhnom Penh

  • Enjoy breakfast at the hotel
  • Go to visit the Angkor Silk Farm, located in Pouk District about 16km from Siem Reap. Take the tour to see how silk is both produced and woven into traditional Khmer fabrics. The Angkor Silk Farm also features a large showroom where you can buy high-quality silk products that were made in the workshops.
  • Stroll around the Old Market, looking for souvenirs and bargaining with vendors like a local.
  • Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant
  • Depart for Phnom Penh City with a stop at Skun, known as the “Spider Village.” This small market is famous for its unique insect delicacies, including fried tarantulas and crunchy scorpions. Trying these snacks offers a fascinating glimpse into local food culture and adventurous eating traditions.
  • Continue to Phnom Penh and upon arrival, transfer to the hotel for check-in
  • Enjoy the nightlife of Phnom Penh
  • Experience with Cambodian Cooking Class: The class will take around 3 hours, learning to cook Khmer cuisine like a local from a local chef. The chef will take you to a local market to buy vegetables, fruits, and ingredients. This is an opportunity to discover the way local people live.

Day 4

Phnom Penh City Tour

  • Enjoy breakfast at the hotel
  • Start to visit Wat Phnom Daun Penh, a Buddhist temple pagoda that symbolizes the name of Phnom Penh. Standing 27 meters high on a man-made hill, Wat Phnom is the most significant temple in Phnom Penh.
  • Visit The Royal Palace of Cambodia, a complex of buildings serving as the royal residence of the King of Cambodia. The Throne Hall and Silver Pagoda are the must-see highlights. The royal temple is officially called Preah Vihear Preah Keo Morakot, but is commonly referred to as Wat Preah Keo Morakot or the Temple of the Emerald Crystal Buddha. This pagoda houses a collection of priceless Buddha and historical objects, including the “Emerald Buddha,” and its floor is covered by more than 5,000 silver tiles.
  • Visit the National Museum, Cambodia’s largest museum of cultural history and the country’s leading historical and archaeological museum. It has the world’s largest collection of Khmer art, sculptures, ceramics, bronzes, and ethnographic objects dating from prehistoric times to periods before, during, and after the Khmer Empire.
  • Visit the Independence Monument, built in 1958 to memorialize Cambodia's independence from France in 1953. Designed by renowned Cambodian architect Vann Molyvann, it is shaped like a lotus bud adorned with Naga heads to resemble the great Khmer temples at the Angkor historical sites. Behind the Independence Monument stands a statue of His Majesty Preah Bat Samdach Preah Norodom Sihanouk, the Father King of Cambodia.
  • Visit Central Market, locally known as Psar Thmey, a unique building built in 1937. The vast interior offers an extensive range of goods at bargain prices. Alternatively, visit Tuol Tum Poung Market, often referred to as the Russian Market because of its popularity among Russian expats during the 1980s. This market is a favorite among tourists for souvenirs, including handicrafts, clothing, antiques, and art.
  • Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant
  • Visit the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, a museum chronicling the Cambodian genocide. The site was a former secondary school used as Security Prison 21 (S21) by the Khmer Rouge regime from 1975 until 1979. Inmates were systematically tortured to extract confessions and later executed at the killing fields of Choeung Ek.
  • The last visit is the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek, about 15km from Phnom Penh. Once an orchard and Chinese graveyard, it was used by the Khmer Rouge regime as an execution ground where thousands were killed and buried in mass graves between 1975 and 1979. Today, Choeung Ek is a memorial marked by a Buddhist stupa filled with more than 5,000 human skulls, many shattered or crushed. Victims were often executed using primitive methods, and children were brutally killed by being smashed against trees.
  • Have dinner and then transfer to the hotel
  • Enjoy the nightlife at Walk Street, a food paradise where you can taste a variety of Khmer dishes and eat like a local, while also enjoying cultural activities and traditional Khmer performances.

Day 5

Phnom PenhKampong PhlukSiem Reap

  • Enjoy breakfast at the hotel
  • Depart for Siem Reap Province
  • Upon arrival, have lunch at a local restaurant
  • Continue to visit Kampong Phluk, a floating village and flooded mangrove forest on the Tonle Sap Lake. Many houses and buildings are constructed on long stilts ranging from 6m to 9m to accommodate the changes in water level between wet and dry seasons. Our boat will go slowly through forest canals, allowing you to catch glimpses of flora and fauna, and see a truly beautiful ecosystem.
  • Have dinner and then transfer to the hotel in Siem Reap City
  • Enjoy the nightlife in Siem Reap

    Optional (Exclude): Ox Cart – Experience an Ox Cart ride at Bakong (30mn) in the villages to see the daily activities of local people, along the way discovering scenic rice paddy fields, seasonal farming methods, and the beauty of the Cambodian countryside. The Ox Cart has been an important feature in Cambodian culture and a transport mode of Khmer people since ancient times.
