Tai Xiu Rules

  • A typical game that uses a 52-card deck.
  • Players can bet on ANTE, Multiple Payment, or Super Niu Niu.
  • A progressive Jackpot side bet is also offered.
  • The customer who cuts the card is not allowed to shake the dice. Cutting of cards must have at least 5 cards.
  • The dealer shakes the dice 1 time and then offers it to the customer to shake. If they refuse, the dealer shakes it 3 times before revealing the total points to decide where cards are dealt first.
  • The player can bet on Ante, Multiple, or Super Niu Niu. A roll of 2 dice decides where cards are dealt. Each gets 5 cards to form the best hand. Rankings are compared.
  • Only 1 bet allowed per box (Ante, Multiple, Super Niu Niu).
  • Join bets are allowed within table limits.
  • Max bet per box is posted; extra amount is removed.
  • Max 5 boxes per player; can view cards from only 1 box.
  • Dealer ensures players on Multiple/Super have enough to cover the house.
  • If points tie, compare the highest-ranking card. If still tied, compare suits. Order: K, Q, J, 10... to ACE.
  • If card values are the same, decide by suit: Spade > Heart > Club > Diamond.
  • Dealer collects losing bets/cards first, then pays winners box-by-box.

Understanding Points Structure & Splitting Mechanics

  1. The House card can play with 9 points for High Hand and 4 points or above for Low Hand.
  2. If the Low Hand is under 4 points, the dealer must split (example: Q+8+A+4 → Low Hand: 4+Q, High Hand: 8+A).
  3. The following pairs cannot be split: 4,4 / 5,5 / 10,10 / J,J / Q,Q / K,K / A,A.
  4. If the House hand has A+9 or 2 pictures, the dealer cannot split.
  5. Example: Q+K+6+4 → Low: 6+4, High: Q+K.
  6. Example: A+9+8+2 → Low: 8+2, High: A+9.
  7. The following pairs must be split: 2,2 / 3,3 / 6,6 / 7,7 / 8,8 / 9,9.
  8. Pair of 2 splits with: 3+7, 4+7, 5+7, 6+7, 5+6.
  9. Pair of 3 splits with: 4+6, 5+6.
  10. Pair of 6 splits with: 1+2(+3), 2+10, 3+10.
  11. Pair of 7 splits with: 1+2(+10), 2+9.
  12. Pair of 8 splits with: A+10, J+Q(+K).
  13. Pair of 9 splits with: A+10, J+Q(+K).

Ranks of the Hand

  1. Four of a kind
  2. Three of a kind
  3. Pairs (AA is the highest)
  4. Two picture cards, no pair (KQ = KJ = QJ)
  5. Ten points (only A+9 counts as 10, called “Kong”)
  6. Points 0–9 (Baccarat-style; e.g. 9+6 = 5, 4+9 = 3)
